The 12th Annual BRAT Convention!

The 2014 BRAT Convention is coming up on June 12-14, 2014, and it’s time for you to make plans to attend. We are looking forward to seeing all of you in Syracuse, New York, for our 12th annual gathering. Our agenda includes educational and informative seminars, social activities for Basenjis and their humans, and contests for the dogs, including a costume contest, a raffle, an auction, wonderful prizes, and much more. We hope you will join us for great food and lots of fun!

Registration, Meals, and Souvenirs

When you register to attend the convention, you can also order your meals, as well as limited-edition souvenirs decorated with the 2014 BRAT Convention logo. We are using our new official BRAT logo for this convention, so order now to be among the first to own an item with the new BRAT Logo! The souvenir items must be ordered by May 12, 2014.

You may also order lunches for Friday and Saturday, the picnic dinner on Friday, and our banquet dinner on Saturday. Basic registration and meals may be ordered until June 10, 2014.

NOTE: The convention registration site will only allow each individual or family to make a single reservation through the site. Please be sure to order all items you are interested in before you finalize your order.

The BRAT convention registration desk will be set up outside our meeting/banquet rooms on Thursday night, and Friday and Saturday mornings. Please stop by to pick up your complimentary tote bag (only for registered individuals and families) and program, along with any souvenirs you ordered.

Hotel Reservations

To make your hotel reservation, call 315-451-1511 and use the group code “BRAT” to reserve a room at our rate of $89 plus tax. This rate is available until May 12, 2014, or until the room block is sold out, so please make your reservation today! Book your room directly through the hotel by telephone to get our low negotiated rate. You cannot get our group rate by booking your stay through their website.

Memorial Tributes

We plan to offer a special Memorial page in our Convention Program. If you are interested in including any of your basenjis who have crossed the Bridge, please contact Debbi Johnson at debbijbasenjirescue@comcast.net.

Dog Park

We will have access to a nearby free, dawn-to-dusk, off-leash dog park. There are restrooms located just outside of the dog park, and we plan to have our picnic dinner on Friday in a nearby picnic area. Rules for the park include having proof of licensing and rabies shots.
