Life at the Beach with Basenjis

Ever since I can remember, my family vacationed for a week or two at York Beach, a small, quaint, seaside town in southern Maine. I continued the tradition with my kids, renting a house not far from where we are now.
My life long dream was to have a house at the beach that I love so much.

I hated having to leave my dogs behind when we went on vacation and envied all the dog owners I saw walking their dogs on the beach. My dream became a reality 4 years ago and I bought the perfect little house with a little yard I had fenced in. Life is better at the beach! Even with the same old basenji destruction...

In the "olden days" cottages were named. I decided to name mine
"Endless Summer."
She is a year-round home, so she is truly the endless summer.

The Nubble.

The first summer.
Why are the chairs against the wall? you ask... Well, I was fostering 6 month old Pixie at the time. One day I came downstairs and found Pixie on the counter! In my effort to outsmart her, I pushed the chairs against the wall... Apparently, she didn't like that idea.

Destruction proof!

Jazzie pokes her head out to check the weather.

Jazzie waits patiently for a hamburger to fall.

Dixie cleans the table after dinner.

Jazzie & Dixie enjoy watching the world go by from the front porch.

Dixie takes a nap on a hot summer's day.

Flippie takes a break on the rocking chair on the front porch.
