Last week Mum, Dad, Kipper, and I drove out to Manhattan, New York for a Sea Shepherds benefit (seashepherd.org).
Kip had a fabulous time (besides the fact that there was ABSOLUTELY NO GRASS). We carried him most of the time, which gave him an awesome opportunity to sniff whoever was walking in front of us.
Manhattan was relatively dog friendly. There were, surprisingly, many people who knew what a basenji was! But there was also a "Is that a chihuahua?". You can't win them all.
Here are some pictures of Kip in Manhattan:
no grass has it's benefits. it's a natural emory board! we have never had to trim omar's nails in the six years we have had him..or he has had us!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos. I was "pre-basenji" when I lived in Manhattan with two cats and have often wondered how my basenji would react to living there. She has found San Francisco to be stimulating enough, and she would probably be in overload in the Big Apple.
