Stitches

While it's great to be able to give my two basenjis access to the Great Outdoors 24/7, sometimes unexpected things do happen.  A few weeks ago, I came home from work and found Biko with a huge gash on his side!  I had no idea what happened, and still don't -- there are no signs of anything in the backyard.  No fights with Reef (my other B), no fights with animals, no attempts at digging under the fence (they can't get through anyway), no sharp objects.... I still can't figure it out.  Sometimes, it seems, basenji behavior is even more mystifying than we could ever imagine!  But at least Biko is doing well recovering from his stitches.  Chalk it up to one more basenji mystery :-)
