So they say say say basenjis do not shed, don't get dirty, and don't
bark! These sounded like great attributes when I first saw them at a dog
show and marveled at their beauty. Having been a veterinary technician
for a long time, and having listened to barking crazy dogs all day, every day,
this sounded ideal.

However, all of you basenji owners know that they make up for these
traits by being toddler-like forever, and getting into everything! My two
basenjis, Seamus (9), and my BRAT, Nina (4), hate to get wet or dirty. And although mine do not bark, when I tell them to say
they love me, this is what they tell me...
